Sail 4 Cancer

www.sail4cancer.org

Sail 4 Cancer is a charity based organisation that aims to improve the quality of life for individuals and their families who have been affected by cancer. The charity offers a variety of sailing experiences for individuals and their families affected by cancer, the recently bereaved and carers thereby giving them the opportunity to switch off from the realities of everyday life. Sail 4 Cancer also awards grants for the provision of equipment within cancer wards and hospices.

We are providing

  • marketing awareness through our branding, and literature to encourage the support of this worthwhile charity.
  • joint branding of the Sloan Wellbeing laser 4000 race dinghy campaign team.
  • the carers with proactive wellbeing packs
  • providing health promotion information to encourage people to be proactive about avoiding a large percentage of cancers through lifestyle change awareness.

 MEND

www.mendprogramme.org

MEND's Mission: To enable a significant, measurable and sustained reduction in childhood overweight and obesity levels.

Fact: Third of all 11 to 15 year olds are overweight or obese, and combined with our current stressed working population (1 in 5), we have a challenge to change our lifestyle behaviours and our perceptions of our society to make a difference for future generations.

MEND's main focus:

  • To develop the MEND Programme to benefit other groups such as children with diabetes, toddlers, children with special educational needs, children from minority ethnic groups, and adults.
  • Use of the MEND Programme to prevent development of clinical conditions such as the Metabolic Syndrome.
  • To prevent healthy weight children becoming overweight/obese

We are helping MEND by providing:

  • marketing awareness through our branding, and literature to encourage support for the programme.
  • providing resources to engage corporate health promotion campaigns to include the MEND programme ideals, and to educate employees who are parents, of the important principles that MEND support, and to encourage them to take them home, and change their own lifestyle choices.
